60 ml (1/4 cup) sesame oil
60 ml (1/4 cup) soy sauce
2 gloves garlic
2 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon chopped green onions
60 gr (4,5 tablespoon) brown sugar*
500 gr steak
*If you don’t have brown sugar, you can add a little grape molasses to sugar.
Mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, green onions and sugar within a bowl that is not made of metal. The marinade is ready. Add the steak and ensure it is covered with the mixture well. Cover it and keep it in the fridge for at least 2 hours, if possible for the night.
Grill the meat on very hot, slightly oiled barbecue until it gains brown color, when marks occur on it take it, wrap it within foil and place on barbeque again. Rotate from time to time and keep on barbeque for approximately 10-15 minutes more depending on the cooking degree you like. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Cutting it immediately will cause its water to leak.
Place the remaining marinade sauce in a small sauce pan and boil for 5 minutes. This marinade gives the perfect results with the meat as a sauce.
