These suggestions will make the time at home better during corona days!
The increase in coronavirus cases brought with it social life restrictions. In this process, it is really important to stay at home and not go out unless it is necessary. We do not know when the virus will end, but we can spend these days pleasantly and productively. Psychologist Dilara Sayar gave advice to make the time at home better during the corona days.

Children are little individuals who learn about life from their parents and the adults around them. Parents are the most reliable source for them, every action they do is undoubtedly right, every emotion they feel is undoubtedly real. Therefore, these days, when face-to-face education is interrupted in schools and lessons continue through distance education, children are at home and with their families for much longer than usual. It is very valuable to make this process controlled, enjoyable and efficient.

What can be done as a family at home during the quarantine period?

You should draw a roadmap without wasting any time. Preparing a daily/weekly program and planning what to do is the first step that will be good for both you and your child. This step has another tutorial, which is that you will teach your child time management with the most permanent education method, by living. As parents, stay alone with yourself and list the things you forgot, postponed, failed to do or neglected for some reason in your daily life routine; for yourself, your home, your family, your child, your loved ones… Divide everything you write on your list into days and start doing it within your means without wasting time. Don't forget to happily delete everything you've done from the list.

Get a hobby: Let each member of the family determine for himself a subject they want to learn or a hobby they want to acquire. You can meet a new language, learn to play a new instrument. My suggestions are to determine an area where you can use hand skills such as painting, mandala, origami, amigurumi, calligraphy, and philography, and to follow a training you want online. I'm sure as you think about it, you will discover many things that you say, 'I wish I could, if I had time to learn'.

Follow online events: Many museums, orchestra performances and cultural and artistic events continue to work online. You can be informed about these events by following their websites or social media. You can set an event for each day. Set an alarm on your phone and join that event from your family home. Then chat about the event and share your comments with each other.

Sports time at home: Sports were part of your life or, like many other things, it was an activity that you could not find time for and postponed. It's a good opportunity to bring exercise into your home. With many experts and videos available on the Internet, you can invest in your physical fitness in the right way. You can turn this into a pleasant time you can do as a family. At a common time to be determined in the morning, everyone can put on their sports clothes and be ready for daily exercise.

Reading time: Reading is a habit that parents consider necessary for their children, but often neglects for themselves. In these days when we need to spend time at home, it would be a great start to make a reading time at a joint time to be determined by the family. All you have to do is pull a book off the shelf that you really enjoy reading. This time your child will say 'read a book now!' Let him hear your sentence 'our reading time begins', not your sentence. Let this activity not be a necessity, but turn it into a pleasant habit you do as a family.

Organize toys: While you're at home, you have plenty of time to reduce and organize the endless piles of toys that today's kids have. It will be nice to arrange his toys and then his room according to his needs and tastes by taking his ideas, respecting his decisions and giving the right direction. I always say 'more toys, less creativity'. This arrangement can bring new creative ideas into your child's mind.

Give children responsibility: Give children responsibilities at home. The process of gaining a sense of responsibility starts at home. We know from the researches that the children who acquire this gain in the family are individuals who act more consciously and with a sense of responsibility in their education and professional life in the future. Gathering toys for children aged 2-3, helping to set a table for children aged 4-5, tidying their beds for children aged 6-7, dusting, watering the plants, helping to prepare food for children aged 8-9 can be responsibilities.

The difficult days we live in are, of course, temporary. Let's take our measures, let's continue to stay at home, let's fit life into our home. Let's plan what we can do and start realizing it. Let's take good care of both our body and mind. Let's not lose hope. Let's turn our house into a triangle of happiness.
