Aynur Ayhan Talked to Young People About Crisis Management at ISOV Scholarship Talks
Aynur Ayhan, one of the founding partners of Ayhan Metal and Aniva, gave a speech on 'Crisis Management' to the young people who will be the producers and entrepreneurs of the future with more than 100 participants at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry Foundation Scholarship Talks and answered the questions of the young people.

Stating that each person and institution has their own experience and success story, and that there is no single truth in crisis management, Ayhan shared his experiences with the youth.

Aynur Ayhan, who started her speech by describing her own work and internship experiences, also stated the angle we should look at about her working life and the institution we work for, and a very correct point.

"You can only understand the verbal rules, cultures and values that make companies valuable and bind you, only when you feel their spirit when you get involved."

While telling about his own experiences during the crisis, how they went through the 2008 crisis and how they got out of the crisis successfully, he also answered the questions and concerns of the youth.

Crises are unpredictable or unpredictable situations. At this point, Ms. Aynur told us that everything changes rapidly in times of crisis, and that we can feel weak like every human being, and the importance of staying calm in times of crisis. It is also very important to analyze the current crisis situation, to see the reality of the crisis and to be solution-oriented and dynamic.

“It is very important that you put your finger on the issues you see and detect and go on. ''

Of course, crises can be turned into great jobs and opportunities. We can say that Ayhan Metal turned the crisis into Aniva. In times of crisis, people also think of projects that they wanted to do but could not do before, or that they wanted to implement but could not find the opportunity to implement. At this point, as Ayhan Metal, they evaluate their raw materials, workforce and machinery. Afterwards, Aniva starts with the Ayhan brothers' own innovative double-sided pan designs, where they produce durable, high-quality, stylish products whose raw materials are suitable for food contact, instead of disposable products on the market, based on their own experiences. Afterwards, they continue with their barbecue designs and productions by analyzing their experience as a family that loves barbecue. They apply the same quality standards in their barbecues as they do in their pans. Quality, durable and stylish products. Now they continue to produce and sell pans, barbecues and barbecue accessories under the brand name Aniva.

From those times, they actually reached the current trend eco-friendly, sustainable, timeless designs.

When it comes to crisis in 2020, it is impossible not to talk about the crisis brought by Covid-19. This period has brought us new normals and new ways of doing business. Ms. Aynur gave us a few suggestions in this regard as well.

“It is beneficial to do business by defining the business processes correctly, analyzing the system correctly and simplifying it.

Life is based on balance, we pay the price for what we do. If we care too much about material things, after a while, the spiritual side will say stop to us. Now that's the case, we stopped. Now we realized how much we pollute the environment, how much we harm the world and consume without producing. From now on, how much we think about the environment and our future in the works we do, we will look at it from a different perspective. Our way of doing business will change.”

And finally, we end our article with the valuable suggestions of Ms. Aynur to the young people.

“Although your dreams are not limited, work hard for your dreams that you can reach, do not rush. Learn on the job. Catch up with the veterans of the industry. Climb the career ladder with firm steps, keep up with the innovations and adapt. Don't get the 5n1k out of your head. When we look back, if the decision you made that day was correct, it is correct. If you see it as a mistake later on, it is useful to put in your pocket why you made a mistake. Because the future is ahead of us, we only waste time thinking about the past. It is important to learn from our mistakes. I am hopeful for our young people.”
